The U.S. Supreme Court's hearing of the case, Medellin v. Texas, has reminded the American people of President Bush's terrible tendency to put the foreign interests of Mexico above those of the United States. But the case, being heard on October 10, is significant for another reason. It demonstrates the dangers of passing global treaties and getting involved with international courts and tribunals. The Senate should remember this lesson as it ponders ratification of the U.N.'s Law of the Sea Treaty, which creates an International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea and various "dispute resolution panels" that will inevitably rule and act against the U.S. The Senate could vote on this treaty shortly and the odds are that it will pass unless the American people voice their objections immediately and vociferously.

Life in prison is much better than what he gave his victim. He gets to live, eat, sleep, watch tv, be with his homies. He should die by his own methods. Cops should have shot him as he “tried to escape”.

I agree with much of your sentiment. Completely. My point is here, GWB is the POTUS, our Gov't is simply looking at trying to ensure American's who are out of country have some levels of protection. In order to ensure this, we, as a nation also have to abide by some set of pre-agreed to rules.

This has nothing to do with the silly and ugly attacks that GWB "loves Mexicans" blah, blah, blah.

This is a tragic case. Hopefully somebody off the scumbag inside prison.

Which is why I’m at a loss as to why our talkies just ignore it. Too many people don’t even know about it and the talkies really need to get people up to speed on it.

It doesn't make sense to me either. It should be on 24/7. After all, it's only about our sovereignty.

Bush at least had potential. Once. Carter never had enough to fill an empty peanut shell.

“Mexico can’t enforce US border laws. This is your problem, not ours.” (Mexican migration is natural, right, a fact of life. Get used to it.)

Some things just leave me speechless and this is one of them.

Because he was raised by an illegal alien Mexican nanny and she was a really, really nice person.

I remember that being talked about.

", shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, TREASON, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”("

We tried the impeachment under Clinton. Takes a long time, and article XXV is almost immediate.

With what's been going in the last few years I feel like I'm now living in an alternate universe.

Bush did some things right, fell short on others, and did absolutely horrible on others.

Can anyone name some things Carter did right? How about stuff he merely fell short on? I'm sure there are some things.

Most of what he has done has been horrible.

I believe Carter did some good things with habitat for humanity, mostly through making a show of support while keeping his mouth shut.

President Bush has let me and our country down. Why he would intervene in this case where these animals inflicted such pain and suffering on two young girls is beyond me. I wish I could ask him face to face. I would look him in the eye and ask “why?” But ya know what???? I don’t care anymore. I don’t care about President Bush...he doesn’t care about my family or my loved ones and evidently never did. He cares about Mexico and all he can do for them. Well, maybe when he is out of office he can go live in Mexico if he loves it that much. There is no one in this country so far that in my eyes is worthy of the Oval Office. I’ll be glad when President Bush is out of office and no longer a disappointment to me and many others.

“Let us not be down on Bush, he is a leader at war.”

Oh he’s a leader at war huh? So that automatically excludes him from any criticism on any issue?

The best way to ensure the safety of Americans is for other nations to fear the U.S. both militarily and economically.

In the words of Teddy Roosevelt "Petticaris alive or Rasuli dead".

As for the President, it looks like he's trying to bring into being the New World Order his father only talked about. It's not a legacy to be proud of. But it's one that a President Hillary Clinton would like to inherit.

Who says he "only talked about it"? Shadow government in my opinion. Putting on suit of armor and going to cook dinner.

It is the process by which Presidents can be removed for reasons of incapacitation. It is adjudged by a majority of executive office department managers, or a body nominated by congress. The vice President becomes Acting President.

Bush might be coming down with a nervous breakdown. Anyone know what Cheney’s position is on these issues? Or if he is in cahoots with Bush?
