My top 3 choices are Hunter, Thompson and Romney. They could combine in any way, and I'd be OK.

I'd be very unhappy if Giuliani or McCain became the nominee.

I'd have to agree with you there.

In a head to head matchup with Hitlery, I wonder which of the three candidates would fare best?

I would be happy with any one of them on the ticket or both slots. I think that Hunter-Romney or Hunter-Thompson would be a very good solution. A Romney-Hunter would work for me too. Either way we have some really great candidates. I for one can’t wait until the primaries are over and FREEPERS will get down to the real work of getting a Republican conservative into the White House in 2008. The bickering is a bit old, but from what I understand it was like this in 2003-4 while picking the last President so I guess it is par for the course.

I'm thinking the Dims will run Hitlery / Richardson. That brings the Democrat base, many female "independents". Added to plus the "illegals" vote. Added to the usual Democrat vote fraud, and combined with $500 million in relentless fraudulent advertising, this ticket could get close to 50% and the prize.

The Republicans need to activate the full base or fugettaboudit. Giuliani will not do this, and McCain is washed up. Hunter, like Huckabee and the other no-names will not make it. Romney is sharp (an unfortunately, a NE Rino), and Thompson has the stage presence and conservative ideology, but he's just ramping up. I see Thompson as the best choice for motivating the base. We need a VP who could bring Florida, Ohio, or one of the other big swing states to offset the possible loss of Texas.
