I was in an overflow room with TVs. Standing room only.
Outside there were maybe 22 kids of which 8 were loud and saying “Down with Coulter, Stop the war”.
There were 5 times that many standing in the overflow area listening to Ann.
I did see people while going in that made sure they were interviewing the very FEW protesters.
The event was excellent.
Everyone was well behaved.
All were VERY receptive to what Ann said and applauded along with standing ovations at times.
I think there was only one leftist that questioned Ann the whole night.
As far as what she talked about???
You or I could have given her speech and known what she would say being familiar with her views.
People getting fat in Guantanamo.
Liberals being on the side of trying to lose all wars.
Killing Jews not being able under Janet Reno to be prosecuted as a Federal hate crime.
Prosecute traitors and so forth!
She looked healthy, had a cute black dress with black see through mesh on the sides.
Her hair looked great and flowed as she spoke from the stage.
She was comfortable and receptive.
Believe I spotted at least 5 FReepers in the overflow audience. I hung out in the balcony on a chair and chilled while enjoying it.
SECURITY was in force and on the job.
That was it!
I arrived late and was unable to get into the event, so I watched the protesters. The demonstration—rather tepid by Vietnam War-era standards—seemed to be dominated by LA Answer and the Revolutionary Communist Party, a Maoist faction. I also met a group of College Republicans who had come from UC Santa Barbara, 100 miles to the west, just to see Ann Coulter.
Great reporting! Thanks!
Funny how the Left was sooo absent....
