I agree that Romney is the most successful business man on the stage tonight. But always remember one thing........he didn’t get there by himself. Don’t forget the people working around him. Without them, he would be nothing. So what this says, basically, don’t rely totally on what he has done and think he did it all by himself.
Look at some of GWB’s appointments and tell me he is hugely successful as a CEO. Good CEOs surround themselves with good people. Reagan had quite a few around him but since they did the work then he was nothing as POTUS?
“Dont forget the people working around him. Without them, he would be nothing. So what this says, basically, dont rely totally on what he has done and think he did it all by himself.”
Huh? A person’s success is contingent on other people???
You could say this about just about anyone who has become successful. Plus, it says that he is intelligent and wise enough to get the right people around him.
Most successful leaders are successful because the select the right people and give those people the authority and responsibility to achieve certain goals. Reagan was great for these reasons. Jimmy Carter and Clinton tended to micromanage and were not successful.
But always remember one thing........he didnt get there by himself.
Now on the other hand if it was another candidate they should get the credit...
Romney has a reputation as problem solver and has a high percentage of successes!
OK. In this model, did he pick the people around him or did they ‘get there by themselves’? If he didn’t pick them, would it then be accurate to say that without him, they’d be nothing (or less fruitful)?
