Thank you thank you everyone, FReeper prayers are so wonderful! She has had no fever since this morning, she is allowed to eat some small amounts. No appetite, still VERY tender, can hardly walk to the br but feeling better, working with her respiratory therapist so that she doesn’t get pneumonia; made a couple of little jokes, has asked again for communion.
Antibiotic changed to rocephin, rented some movies, got a bunch of presents. She is still too calm, but her hands were cool this evening, nurses are outstanding. Nurse showed her how to fake v-tac on her monitor—LOL!
It’s so amazing what a difference 15 hours can make—her skin looks normal, her eyes aren’t there yet, her smile is still a little forced. She is comfortable in the hospital gown, which is not normal. But we are so encouraged! She wll be in the hospital until at least Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, must finish all the IV meds and then stay afebrile for 24 hours. She’s not able to take enough fluids, so they are still giving her IVs of normal saline. Her BP which was high is now down to a normal range, another very good sign.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, I am going to be able to sleep tonight; she is expected to continue to improve, and I am so grateful to everyone who prayed. She is my heart.
Good news!
I’m incredibly happy to hear that Rachel is doing better, Judith Anne! All praise be to God!
Thank you for coming on here to keep us updated.....
Kids are tough and innocent. Would that we all could be.
G-d be with you and yours. Great news.
Prayers continue.
As long as the belly germs keep knocked back, she should bounce back quickly.
Little ones have remarkable recuperative powers.
Our family is so very happy to hear this news! Praise God for your heart. :)
Prayers and blessings from Heaven and from little ol' me in Delaware.
