humblegunner has been in the hospital since last Wednesday, October 3.
He has been extremely ill and today, after four days of antibiotics and the removal of a large amount of fluid from the area surrounding his right lung, he is finally beginning to feel better. His doctors have said that he will be hospitalized for several more days.
Humblegunner is out of surgery and things are looking good. They had to scrpae the infection out.
I'll let pax and The Mom pass on the details since the phone connection kept going in and out and I'm not any good at medical jargon. I don't want to post anything inaccurate. I do know that he's very doped up and out of it right now, but chances for full recovery appear to be very, very GOOD! YAAAAAAY!!
Please keep praying that he continues on an upward swing and is back to 100% and stirring up trouble again in the blink of an eye.

If I was pinged, I missed it. I was shocked to hear almost the same as Rocky’s collapsed lung.
I pray by now that he is out of the hospital and his old self again. Lord, please take care of Brother Gunner and prayers for his mom, too, Amen.
Humblegunner gave us all quite a scare, but it looks like he'll be OK. I'm still praying, though. When he's fully back to health, we're going to kick his butt for giving us such a fright. Wanna help? ;-)

I'm still in Baghdad, but I should be home for a visit in December sometime. Hope to see everyone then.
Could this infection be a result from the broken ribs he had that he didn’t care for?

I just got home from the hospital and am headed for a NAP!

It looks like humble should be okay.
The doctor says that they still don’t know what kind of infection humble has. (humble claims that it’s ebola... that’s our little stinker...)
They removed a large area of infection which was too much for antibiotics and, with continued antibiotic treatment, think that his chances of full recovery are very good.
Immediately after landing in recovery he was already being stinkerish so we know that this is truly our humble and not an imposter. ;-)
Please continue praying! humble’s recovery isn’t going to be easy. His lungs are still filled with infection and because of it his lungs are in a very delicate condition.
Now, naptime... later I’ll begin individually pinging all of you wonderful FRiends who are praying for him. It looks like prayer worked, and is still working.
