I should have declared a FaiR Photo Funkle..
A skunk, with a glass T. Marzetti Supreme Caesar salad dressing jar stuck on its head, walks on the sidewalk in front of the Carrollton Township administration building, in Carrollton, Mich. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007. A Carrollton police officer used a BB gun to shoot off part of the jar but then the skunk was able to move better and it scurried off with the ring of the jar still around its head. They shoudl have tasered the skunk instead, smashed the jar..
bump
whew! I was just gonna tell Jim I kil’t the thread.. :-}
I had a ff a couple nights ago but grok disappeared into the red trailer to consider my protest when it seemed to be disputed and has not been heard from since
I am a Bumper. At least until the other time zones come to life. Beautiful day here in Connecticut. The leaves are changing. Very dry here though. Last week was in San Diego for the Fleet Week saw the Nimitz Fleet come in so breathtaking. We stayed at the Sheraton on Harbor Island with a balcony view to North Island and the harbor. Sheraton was fun all navy fun parties all weekend.Love seeing those guys in their whites.
If it had the words Seagram Courtesy Trailer on the side of that red trailer, that is easily explained. ;-)
My other half and a galfriend just took for NY for a week ,, looks like the weather is nice there too.
We have Fleet Week here in the Bay Area and no matter all the protestations of all the ne’er do wells in SF, the Blue Angels will be there. Weather should be decent , always a good show... tho I have never gone myself..
Good to hear our troops are being treated well by a lot of good folks in San Diego.

Three days playing poker in that stupid trailer and I broke even. What’s up with that?

Heck, I wish I could do that at Vegas.. lol
I’m going to take this opportunity to bump the thread and put out some info that might be of interest to veterans.
Branson, Missouri will host their annual Veterans Homecoming, 5 - 11 November, 2007.
This link provides information about the activities planned for this year’s homecoming:

The IMAX theater in Branson will show the documentary film, In the Shadow of the Blade and admission will be free to veterans. This is a great documentary - if you’re a Vietnam vet, this film will bring a lump to your throat:

A local organization will also host a military gala to honor military personnel. The POW Network website is a tremendous resource on POW/MIA information. They also collect and publish information on impostors:
The 11th Military Gala and Banquet will be held on November 11, 2007, at the Chateau on the Lake Hotel, Branson, Missouri:

Oh yes the weather is beautiful, hot and dry. Lovely time to be in New England and NYC. San Diego is a military town and all our military were treated very respectively. Honestly, I cried like a baby at all the activities during last weeks Fleet Week. I just wanted to hug every one of our military and their were many of them and their families.
I have had family move thru there while in the service, I spent a bot of time there and not lounging around the beach either .. Boot Camp. Summer of ‘72 :-)
I much prefer the stops there while we were on cruises and such,, we went on our honeymoon to San Diego,, seems like yesterday,, almost 23 years ago,,
