My other half and a galfriend just took for NY for a week ,, looks like the weather is nice there too.
We have Fleet Week here in the Bay Area and no matter all the protestations of all the ne’er do wells in SF, the Blue Angels will be there. Weather should be decent , always a good show... tho I have never gone myself..
Good to hear our troops are being treated well by a lot of good folks in San Diego.

I’m going to take this opportunity to bump the thread and put out some info that might be of interest to veterans.
Branson, Missouri will host their annual Veterans Homecoming, 5 - 11 November, 2007.
This link provides information about the activities planned for this year’s homecoming:

The IMAX theater in Branson will show the documentary film, In the Shadow of the Blade and admission will be free to veterans. This is a great documentary - if you’re a Vietnam vet, this film will bring a lump to your throat:

A local organization will also host a military gala to honor military personnel. The POW Network website is a tremendous resource on POW/MIA information. They also collect and publish information on impostors:
The 11th Military Gala and Banquet will be held on November 11, 2007, at the Chateau on the Lake Hotel, Branson, Missouri:

Oh yes the weather is beautiful, hot and dry. Lovely time to be in New England and NYC. San Diego is a military town and all our military were treated very respectively. Honestly, I cried like a baby at all the activities during last weeks Fleet Week. I just wanted to hug every one of our military and their were many of them and their families.
