Though I doubt that it happened this way...IF Israel captured a North Korean nuke in Syria, the way to play the haul would be to give the NK’ers an Asian way to “save face” while dismantling their nuclear program (which they are doing, complete with unfettered U.S. inspections on the ground).

To that end, part of the deal would be that the Syrian embarassment per se remains an Official secret.

“IF Israel captured a North Korean nuke in Syria”

I think that would be pretty difficult too. But, perhaps enough hard evidence that could be retrieved and then bomb the place. Otherwise, why not just blow a few holes in the ship in 15,000 feet of water and let it all sink to the bottom? No radiation release, no evidence, even more complete silence from all parties. Ah - with the evidence that the Israelis received DOES come the silence!?

If Israel ever finds a North Korean nuke in any enemy territories it really should respect the origins of the device and return it prompt by dropping it back over the northern Korea peninsula.

Return to sender, armed.
