I suppose it sounded clever when you were writing that.

If Fred is a Christian, where does he attend church?

I’m inclined to vote for Fred, but there is evidence that he doesn’t place faith in God and fellowship with believers very high on his priority list.

"...If Fred is a Christian, where does he attend church?..."

Hmmm...

We could go into where does God command us to go to church?

We would then get into what is a church vs. The Church.

Any rate, it is a fruitless road to travel.

Dobson uses his "faith" to build his own personal empire [tax exempt - gotta love that].

Fred says his faith is personal and not an issue.

Who is acting more like Christ or Christian?

attending church does not equal Christianity. I am a Christian, but I choose not to get involved in church because my work schedule changes month to month. From your post, it sounds like your last name may be -cracy because you consider faith in God and fellowship with believers to be an important quality in a candidate. Seems to me that important qualities in a conservative candidate should be: tough on national security, fiscal conservatism, tough on immigration, and a belief in small government and the clearly defined rights between states and the federal. If being Christian is one of the criteria on your conservative checklist, would you ever vote for a Jew? Or a Buddhist? Or a Hindu?

Bill Clinton attended church, and Jimmy Carter is a self-proclaimed Christian.

As a Christian, I feel this country would have been better off with a man who did not attend church, and kept his faith to himself.

Are you saying you have to attend a church to be a christian? I gave up organized churches long ago, they became too political for me. But I do read the Bible and follow the teachings of Christ. I don’t have to go to church to be a christian. Now you’re being judgemental. Tell me where in the Bible it says in order to be a christian you HAVE to go to church? Remember, religion is man-made. I prefer putting my trust in God, not a church.

I hope you are not hanging your redemption on going to church, it takes a lot more than that. I believe it is more what is in your heart than where you are in a building. As a neighbor of mine once said, some of the biggest crooks and siners are there every time the church doors open and dose not seem to be doing them any good. We always called them hypocrites

Yep, the more I see Fred supporters kicking Dobson for his honest statements on what Christians look for, the more I worry about Fred not even once acknowledging Christians and clarifying the facts.

How dang hard is is to say, Dobson is wrong, I AM A CHRISTIAN, instead of doing a tap dance away for the issue.

This Christian is highly taking that into consideration.
