No fire in the belly? Because he won't lick Dobson's boots?
After thinking about it, I've realized that I've yet to meet a Christian who bases his vote on what James Dobson has to say. Dobson was way off base, and Fred Thompson was right to dismiss his comments for what they were.

Then why do you think that ALL SORTS of commenters from ALL SORTS of perspectives are saying the same thing about Thompson: no fire, no zest, disappointing speeches?
I’ll say it one last time: dismissing Dobson is just stupid. He does speak for a lot of people; and he certainly is identified with a constituency that is indispensable for any GOP candidate. And I haven’t seen one poll indicating that Thompson has support to spare.
