Well, I guess Thompson won’t be getting Dobson’s vote. Seems like none of the declared candidates will be getting Dobson’s vote.

It looks like the Christian political movement has come full circle. Before Falwell, Christians stayed at home and made no impact on the political process. Then Falwell changed that. Christians pretty much ran the show for 20 years. Now Christians are going back to sulking in the corner.

"Now Christians are going back to sulking in the corner."

Not this one. Not only will I not sulk in the corner. I will actively vote for WHICHEVER republican ultimately wins the nomination. It is my firm belief, and indisputable fact, that failure to do so is a de facto vote for whichever traitor ultimately represents worldwide marxism, er the demorats, in the general election.

sulking in the corner

or leaving the Republican Party?
There is much at stake in this election
I would not attempt to drive stakes into
the Christian Right if I were a candidate.....

God moves in mysterious ways.
and if angered....I do not want to be around God .... said the angels....?

Not this Christian. As much as I like Dr. Dobson for his support for family issues, he doesn't tell me who to vote for.

So you think the GOP is going to be relevant without the Christian vote?

I'm a Christian, and I intend to vote for Thompson. I have worked in the church, and in various Christian industries for 13 years now, and I don't know anyone who receives their marching orders from Dobson (or Falwell, for that matter.) The assumption that Christians are sheeple to these "shepherds" is absolutely false. Sure their input is interesting, but it isn't the deciding factor.

I think Dobson was WAY off base on this one. Also, I read that Thompson is a member of the Church of Christ, FWIW.

I’m a highly conservative Christian, who many would classify as an evangelical. Neither Falwell nor Dobson have ANY effect whatsoever on my voting decisions.
