My take as well. In any case it doesn’t sound like Clear Channel is going to suspend Rush, or take him off the air at all. It was an extremely polite way of saying, “thanks, now get back to doing work the public pays you to do.”

The letter includes a polite, diplomatic reminder that "uh, jeez guys... you are swearing to uphold the constitution and all... but uh... do you remember you know, like, that bill of rights they made over 200 years ago? Yeah, well that's still in effect, and if it takes some ceo schmoe to remind you of that, then maybe you ought to reexamine your oath of office."

Ultimately this whole embarassing episode, showing what a fool Reid is, is about ‘moral equivalency” .. that Rush’s commend was just as bad as, if not worse than, the moveon ad.
