That is true.
At least you got to go overseas once.
You are welcome.:)
Yes. It was hard on me even though I was young and physically fit. If I were like others, I would love to go to Russia, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, back to see more of the British Isles. No place else ever particularly appealed to me.
I regret that I've never been able to see most of the southern states, far northwest, far southeast and Maine. I think I've been in about 30 states. I'd love to be able to visit some places over and over.
How many states have other folks been in?
Maybe that's why I'm such a foreign film addict, I've seen some I'll bet many never heard of, Oblamov, Runaway Train (the Russian version), tons of French films. There is a freshness about them compared to most American films now even the risque or borderline porno (whatever that would be now lol) ones if the setting is pretty or whatever.
I like films that were filmed on location in the south, too, because I can't go there. Also Canadian. There was one odd one that I liked very much that had a house with a reclusive woman, can't remember the name of it. The house was a replica of the Alhambra and was falling apart.
If I were able to travel throughout the country, I tend to like places off the beaten path, especially if scenic, and drive in a leisurely manner, turn off on a side road that looks interesting. I would avoid the big cities and traditional popular vacation places like Vegas, Hawaii (might be a little different there), tourist traps I think of them. Cruises don't appeal to me either except possibly getting off the boat on some pictueresque Carribean Islands or around Alaska.
