This is not a "new" technology.
Ocean thermal energy conversion was first proposed in the 1800s and the first commercial plant was built in 1930.

If Keith Olbermoan, Chrissy girl Matthews, Tucker pucker Carlson, George Soros, both Clintons, Obamasama, Edwards, Kookcinich all Kennedys and all other Libtard nuts would stop breathing, there would be absolutely no need for this ALGORE loose bowel drippage pipe dream.

radical solutions must be tried even if they ultimately fail....or backfire?

The two scientists argued it was unlikely any of the well-intentioned technical or social schemes for limiting carbon would restore the planet’s status quo.

you can be sure that environmentalists will be against any technological fix that threatens their faith that we must return to a ‘stone age’ subsistence lifestyle. On the other hand, they must contend that Mr. Gaia himself favors technology over taxation and control.

Best case of mental nanoinflation to date. Will Wikipedia adopt this new word? Will the author of this oceanic pipedream know its meaning? It can only be one of lifes’ imponderable, persistently annoying questions as to how expansion of really small ideas, on occasion, heads to the forefront of consideration of comment from the worlds best applicators of common sense...freepers.

Can’t we just pray to Mother Gaia?
Or maybe throw virgins into volcanos, that would probably work.

Their colossal ego knows no bounds - they’d best not be messing with a system that has been set up and running for billions of years - set to run on self-regulating cycles -
Of course, it’s more than just ego - it’s all that fund money - and power.
This Global Warming scam must be stopped =

James Lovelock, whose Gaia hypothesis that Earth is a living entity Feverish & bloated, you say? Give two asprin, administer a mineral oil enema, and call me in the morning.
As for Lovelock; yes, definitely a terminal case.

Commenting on Lovelock's idea, Brian Hoskins, professor of meteorology at the University of Reading, said it was scientifically sound but there were huge unknowns. "This is the latest in a line of geo-engineering solutions," he said. So give us another billion or so and we'll come up with some more nifty, unproven, but scientifically sound, solutions.
What a buncha BS!!
There should be a race between this idea and the other one where we "seed" the ocean with iron. Yeah, right.

Ahh, but how much global warming will go into the production and implementation of this idea?
Wouldn’t it be easier to just have everyone, all at once, leave their refrigerator doors open for a half an hour or so?
Or maybe we could begin using Gasex as a cattle feed additive?
Or maybe we could get everyone on the planet to jump off their dressers at noon, thereby producing a series of 24 jolts driving the earth slightly away from the sun.
Or maybe all of the above, once a week, mandated and enforced by the UN, until the problem is solved. Whether it works or not.
