Former "Evening News" Dan Rather choked back tears on several occasions today when discussing his decision to file a lawsuit against CBS and he left many audience members with a sense that he may call President George W. Bush as a witness should the lawsuit proceed to trial (and Rather said he hoped it would).
When asked by Carol Joynt, host of the "Q&A Café" held at Nathans restaurant who worked with Rather at CBS in the 1970s, whether "he'd like to" call President Bush as a witness in the trial, Rather said "I'd like not to answer the question," leaving both Joynt and audience members wondering whether the newsman has Bush in his sights." Joynt later told Yeas & Nays, "From the look in his eye -- and he gave me a definite Ratheresque look -- I got the impression he will call the president as a witness. Possibly both of them: 41 and 43. He implied the suit is not against them, but what the suit is about stems directly from his antagonistic relationship with them."

Rather is the kind of reporter who makes up stories and then convinces himself they are true.
Fabulous news! Rather is baiting the president and daring him to prosecute the production and use of fraudulent Air National Guard documents.Maybe now GWB will get a clue, declassify any and all 35 yo TANG memos, and prove that in the early 1970s TANG had no machine remotely capable of making documents indistinguishable from documents produced by Microsoft Word operating at its default settings.
And send Dan Rather to Leavenworth. We can dream, can't we?
Agree. He’s delusional. Ignored everything the experts told him about those phoney “documents,” acted as though the fonts and spacing of modern word processors existed back in the era of the typewriter and generally kept bending reality to fit his fantasy. He even bent the language in his pitiful attempt to dignify his fairy tale. “Fake but accurate” has now entered the political lexicon forever, right along with Clinton’s “...depends what the meaning of ‘is’ is.”
He is not delusional. He has just found the frequency! You are Kenneth aren’t you?
And....Take the Clintons with you.
My final word for Dan... "There is no cure for Stupid, Dan, and you are living proof, you and Amanutjob. "
There comes a time, when Old Liar Liberals, such as Dan Rather just become kind of pathetic, and one would just hope they would leave the stage quietly, with no fuss.
Ahhh, poor dan...you aint no longer the man.... Yawnnnnn
Look: I don’t like Dan Rather - never have. Rathergate didn’t help, certainly - but he has always been a distrubingly far left “journalist”.
His recent claims that the mainstream media is Bush-centric, and that it is under the control of the government, has added to Dan’s multiple-layers of tinfoil like nothing else has.
But since filing his suit against CBS, he has really gone ‘round the bend. He has completely cracked up this time.
If he really thinks that George Bush controls the media - and that the media is afraid of the government and is its lap dog.... Don’t we WISH the Times was in President Bush’s back pocket ....
But I digress...
Dan needs a loooooong vacation. He has gone completely insame this time.
(Where’s Kenneth when you need him???)
It's likely the men in the white coats will be coming to take him away very soon.
