I might try going to the consulate and see if I can get a matricula ID card. Wonder if non-spanish speakers can get one?

I know several people who have them, a couple radio hosts. Terry Anderson says he got one. You don't even have to go to the consulate. There are 'welcome wagons' that put on fairs in Oregon to hand them out.
