The once vibrant Christian communities of Bethlehem and Nazareth, with roots in the "land of Jesus" going back to first century Israel, are rapidly declining in the face of a systematic campaign of persecution conducted by the same Muslim terrorists intent on driving the Jews into the sea.
Beatings, sham legal proceedings, property seizures, dismissal and replacement of elected Christian leaders, accusations of selling property to Jews and intimidation by gunmen with links to the government of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas have so reduced Christian populations in the cities of Jesus' birth and boyhood one community leader predicts all Christians will be gone within 15 years.
In "Schmoozing with Terrorists: From Hollywood to the Holy Land Jihadists Reveal their Global Plans to a Jew!" author and WND Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein chronicles his meetings and interviews with leaders of terror groups and Islamist organizations long accused of intimidation and violence against Mideast Christians.
'No more Christians in Bethlehem'
For part of one chapter, Klein travels to Bethlehem to meet with the city's Christians and with its terrorist leaders.
Bethlehem consisted of upwards of 80 percent Christians when Israel was founded in 1948, but since the Palestinian Authority took over in 1995 the Christian population has declined to about 23 percent with a large majority of Muslims. The 23 percent Christian statistic is considered generous since it includes the satellite towns of Beit Sahour and Beit Jala. Some estimates place Bethlehem's actual Christian population as low as 12 percent, with hundreds of Christians emigrating per year.

Does not suprise me at all, this is all part of the Muslims plan to take over areas of shrines dear to Christians.
The question is why is there no protest of this by the US government?
I would not recommend that anyone traveling to Israel take the side trip to Bethlehem. We did and of all the time we spent traveling in Israel this was the scariest.
Your guides hand you off to Palestinians and for the next 4 or so hours they hold you captive. They want your dollars but they don’t want you.
I don’t know why the Israelis haven’t kicked every Palestinian out of the country this situation can not continue.
The Christian religion is not confined to a piece of ground or place on a map. A pilgrimage back to a point of origin is not required of any of us to be saved.
“It is a global effort by Muslims, not just in Bethlehem and Nazareth.”
London is well underway as is Detroit. Chicago and New York are coming along nicely.
“A pilgrimage back to a point of origin is not required of any of us to be saved.”
True but it sucks the barbarians have taken control of Jesus’s birthplace and are driving fellow Christians out of their homes.
“The Christian religion is not confined to a piece of ground or place on a map. A pilgrimage back to a point of origin is not required of any of us to be saved.”
When ground is being taken away from you, literally STOLEN, the thieves aren’t going to ever stop until YOU are gone(hence the Crusades).
True, but it is not the only place in the world this is happening. Christians are being butchered and enslaved in Africa and Southeast Asia by those who follow this same crazed muslim religion.
We lost both Crusades. The second loss resulted in a large portion of Southeast Europe being occupied by muslims, who are still there.
Isn’t this “Ethnic Cleansing”?
I guess it is OK when Islam is not the victim
“Christians are being butchered and enslaved in Africa and Southeast Asia by those who follow this same crazed muslim religion.”
This has been happening for the thousand years. I think its just currently on the upswing after a slow period.
Not suprising, they want that jizra tax.
Planned extermination of Christians and Jews by the State Dept.
First Israel, then the USA.
Not suprising considering that the Muslims also know that Christainity is also on the upswing in the global south and it is sending the former into a panic.
That is one of the beauties of the Christian faith, unlike the Muslims who REQUIRED it of their believers in order to bow and worship that moon-rock in Mecca.
The thing that bothers me about this happening in Israel, is that the United States government could pressure Israel to take back these areas if the United States government cared about Christians in the Holy Land.
Expect more civil wars to break out.
Absolutely correct... but a place like Khartoum doesn't quite have the same symbolic value as Bethlehem, does it?
