K, I thought your hotel was close by! Was that "Albe " or "Alba" (the latter being the Gaelic name for Scotland)?
In any event, I have a pleasant memory of a lunch with LoM and my Japanese friend/colleague a short block away at an outdoor restaurant on the southeast corner of the Quai de Montebello and the bridge to Notre Dame.

My mother likes Amsterdam better, but she goes to Paris every couple of years. I don’t know where she stays; wherever the USAirways crews are lodged, I suppose.
