Wow. Just read the article. He’s a selfish and dangerous man.

I read one of his books some years ago. Didn't he say he once thought he was God or something, like John Lennon?

Very full of himself, which I suppose is the sort of ingredient that helps make one super successful...businessmen and dictators, etc.

Anyway, I wondered, as I glanced at this, just how much his money has had to do with the rise of the worst of leftist causes over the past decade...I wonder how his money got to bill clinton and how it gets to hillary.

According the article, quite a bit. He says he wants to tear down the US to be subjugated to the UN, that we shouldn't be a world power.

Soros apparently thinks he's God. But all John Lennon did was remark that the Beatles had become more popular than Jesus (in England at the time, it was probably accurate). His off-hand comment was twisted and mis-reported, and people over-reacted like crazy.

He commented on that later, saying:

"I suppose if I had said television was more popular than Jesus, I would have got away with it... I just said [the Beatles] are having more influence on kids and things than anything else, including Jesus... I wasn't knocking it or putting it down. I was just saying it as a fact, and it's true more for England than here. I'm not saying that we're better or greater, or comparing us with Jesus Christ as a person or God as a thing, or whatever it is...

"I'm sorry I said it really. I never meant it to be a lousy anti-religious thing. I apologise if that will make you happy. I still don't know quite what I've done. I've tried to tell you what I did do, but if you want me to apologise, if that will make you happy, then OK, I'm sorry."

Most Christian organizations accepted his explanation and apology, though a few did not. Anyway, whatever else Lennon did that you might not like, he didn't say or think that he was God. Just for the record, you understand.

Soros, on the other hand, DOES think he's God, and is not likely to apologize for anything.
