A law enforcement source says the Iranian mission to the United Nations has informed the Secret Service that the Iranian president intends to visit Ground Zero Monday at 10 a.m.
The source says regardless of the NYPD's rejection of the request for a Ground Zero tour, Iran's president and his entourage will be accompanied by a Secret Service protective detail, a detail provided to all heads of state when they visit the United States.

You know, I don't know if you are being dense on purpose - or if you really can't help it. If you could practice your reading comprehension skills a bit, you would see that I belong to the group that doesn't think he should be allowed here in the first place! DUH!!!! All I was saying was that if he is allowed to set foot on that hallowed ground by our wussie leaders - he should be denied his photo opportunity of solemnly laying a wreath on the spot. American flags all around him is not the image he wants to take back home with him.
Get off my back and go back and read my actual posts!
The only way to keep this jerk outta here is for the US Govt to keep him out. IMHO Allowing this guy into the country without arresting him on entry and prosecuting his a$$ for the kidnappings and takeover of the US Embassy in Teheran, and the deaths related to the aborted rescue, will be a bigger travesty than keeping him out in the first place.
This guy is a known terrorist, international kidnapper, and deserves the takedown that will not happen, but should. The same international law that protects him is the same international law that ought to prosecute him to the gallows, and the same international law that he so easily chose to disobey. Maybe there are some surprises, but I doubt it.
It would be a nice time for the Blue Flu to make all the cops call in sick and leave this wack-job to defend himself.
Actually, I believe it.
That would be sweet.
I’m missing something here. We shouldn’t be debating whether or not he gets to visit GZ. That should not even be an issue - because he shouldn’t even be allowed to set foot in the U.S.
I can’t pronounce his name so I call him...My mood i’m in a jihad
Oh I agree!!
I'm afraid you're right. If we stop him, he gets that message across. If we let him, we look like gutless fools.
He should go. He should see what happened on 9/11. And every comment he makes about it should be put into the Republican candidates 2008 commercials, overlapping what the Democrats say.
Want to beat the RATS? This is the perfect opportunity to show America that the RATS support this lunatic.
Big picture people.
Probably too much to ask from President Pollyanna.
The fact is, America is the only place in the world that this CAN happen peacefully. And as much as I detest that little pest, he highlights the fact that GW Bush would not be allowed one scintilla of a moment in Mecca or anywhere in Iran.
In fact, if W held a press conference right after ding dong leaves the area and says exactly just that, then America turns it into a propaganda coup.
A big angry mob (or worse, a small rag-tag mob) of flag waving Americans just reinforces Ahmadjenhdsadf 's rhetoric that Americans are bloodthirsty oppressors.
Then surround the airport. Occupy the tarmac.
His only reason for the visit is to honor his emissaries that brought it down in the first place. America needs to show up and show this little POS what we think of him.
I thought they said on the news that ground zero was closed due to construction
