That was my point. At the rate Fred is going, he won’t need 4 months and he may not even need 4 weeks.

Oh... I don't know about that. We could expect a bounce when he jumped into the race... it's just as reasonable to expect much of that to fade over the next couple weeks (and to see the MSM declare him a flash in the pan).

I expect it to take some time before he's legitimately the frontrunner... and I'm not sure he wins NH anyway.

Just a heads up for all.

The Romney and Rudy campaigns aren’t going to take this lying down.

The Romney campaign in S. Carolina was back at smearing Thompson again last week, this time it was an email attacking his morals and questioning his intelligence.
The email was linked to that smear merchant, Warren Tompkins.

I’m not sure what Fred’s next move is, but I expect that there will be a delayed effect to a lot of his support in IA, FL and NH. He did a lot of personal events with a lot of people. Those people need time to go back to their communities and talk about Fred, then the people they talk to need time to check out Fred’s website and watch his speeches, etc. I expect we’ll see where we really stand from his first bus tour in the polls that are released next week.
