In an effort to counter the almost gay, boyish, metro sexual Mitt, they tried to butch him up by making a video of him jogging and sweating, lets’ just say it is less than successful. They have John Edwards and we have Mitt.

However, I dress down on a bus, plane, or train. Why?

Mainly comfort. It’s uncomfortable enough to be squeezed into a seat designed for a 108 pound person, with my unmentionables smashed together painfully, in a hot, stagnant plane/train/bus for 3 hours...it’s even worse wearing a suit. :-)

3 opposes federal tort reform

5 voted against increasing fines on businesses who hire illegal aliens
6 voted against a bill that would have denied illegal immigrants the right to federal benefits outside of emergency medical care

is the most conservative in this race? How? And why?

I don’t think “Metro” when I see Mitt. I think “harem of estheticians.” More like the King of Siam, holding the whole kingdom hostage to his appearance than like some of the politicians in my home State. I don’t think they go to the barber more than once a day.

Didn’t seem to be a problem back then, did it? And frankly, white gloves on occasions are pretty exquisite, don’t you think? It sure beats Britney Spears. And I say this as a 20-something.

The fact of the matter is that if you walk into a boardmeeting looking like a slouch, you lose immediate points. I guess it’s not for everyone, but I think a meticulous attention to detail is a good thing to have in a leader. I just don’t see George Washington in jeans and a t-shirt. Do you?

4-6 not my favorite vote but do we know the story?

Hunter’s not going to win. Tancredo’s not going to win. L. Ron Paul’s not going to win.

And Fred’s light-years ahead of Mitt, McCain, or Rudy on all the above issues. So there you have it. The most conservative ELECTABLE guy in the race.

I agree, and I knew that metro sexual just wasn’t quite right but it was as close as I could get, your description is much better.

Seriously, white gloves? I’m half handicapped for a couple of days after I paint my nails. Why not bind my feet and put me in a hobble skirt, while you’re at it?

I believe in proper attire. Read “Dressing for Success” in the ‘70’s. Even wear hose more than most South Texas women and prefer skirts to pants of any kind. I’m even married to a bit of a peacock.

However, there are extremes in grooming. The Governor appears to have gone overboard with the creases, combs, tanning products and lacquer. He doesn’t want our first and last impression to be his appearance and how much maintenance he must take. He’s selling himself as the next leader of the free world. We need to see that he can take care of business, not himself.
