Wonder how she can say that when the bail hearing isn’t until sometime tomorrow morning?
Most states maintain a bail schedule at police stations. The watch commander usually has the authority to release a prisoner up posting the amount on the schedule... keeps jail overcrowding down. In his case, I suspect the WC decided to leave it to the judge in the morning.
"He was later ordered by a judge to be held without bail, police said."
