Here at NewsBusters, we try to stay on the cutting edge of both media and technology, which is why I'm pleased to announce the addition of NewsBusted, a comedy show we're producing in cooperation with Right Stuff Comedy.
The idea for the show is really quite simple. Politics is absurd, so is the news. Why not have some laughs from it all?
The show will be online later today but in the meantime, please enjoy the new NB layout. Note that besides NewsBusted, it has a few other new features such as a block to track active forum discussions as well as a nice and convenient way to access the NB live chat system. Simply click the "chats" link at the top of any page.
Stay tuned for more cool features. As always, we welcome your ideas, suggestions, and help. If you're a blogger who'd like to get involved, drop me a line.

It’s not officially up until this afternoon. Check it then.
definitely
So, PJ, do you yourself appear in this first edition of NewsBusted? I think we will be especially interested in those episodes in which you appear or for which you wrote.
I didn’t appear. I’m not scheduled to appear. If I did it would be in a lounge chair, wearing a bathing suit and floppy swamp hat, sipping a rum drink with an umbrella, and just telling the jokes in a conversational voice. Actually, the preceding is my natural appearance...except for the bit about the umbrella in the rum drink. I drink my rum straight on the rocks sans umbrella.
After watching the first installment, I can see that, based on the format, you wouldn't appear. But did you/would you write any of the material?
sipping a rum drink with an umbrella. . . .
I would think that would be hard to do.
A straw would be so much easier.
A cocktail favor in the shape of an umbrella, with a straw as the shaft.
