Mrs. Trooprally called me this evening to tell me that she and her husband, as well as Concretebob, saw damage along almost the entire length of the Vietnam Memorial Wall. They found this damage this morning, when they walked through the area before participating in the September 11th Freedom Walk.
Concretebob was told by a National Park Service employee that the damage was done on Friday night. There was no police report taken or written about the vandalism, apparently. And the damage was still very much there today.
Here are a few of the photos that Mrs. Trooprally took this morning...
This first one is not so noticeable, but as they walked into the center, it got worse.
It looks like the person who did this walked along The Wall with some type of container, perhaps hidden at their side so that they could squirt the oily substance without being caught in the act.
The names along the lower part of The Wall appear to have taken the brunt of the damage.
Because of the reflective nature of The Wall, Mrs. Trooprally had a tough time capturing the extent of the damage. Mr. Trooprally said that the oily substance has discolored the shiny stone, but that it has been absorbed into the more porous area where the names are etched into The Wall.
Ditto to thatthey sure are.
Yes every last one of them is a Democrat ( treasonrat) I hate them all.
FACT!!!
free dixie,sw
I will never forgive them for this or for anything they have done in the past, now and in the future. They are my enemy.
I have been trying to read this end to end...still see no real facts as to the cause or persons who did this...did I miss them?
Anything from tgsl?
Oh, to be there to administer a thorough beating.......An ambulance would definitely be required to clean up the mess.
This is a new low.
A good friend sent me a heads-up.
Let’s hope the Park Service has the
expertise to remove the stains. I
wonder if anyone has alerted
DRUDGE and sent some of these photos
for him to post.
I stopped as I was leaving the area and talked to a Park Police motorcycle officer on Constitution Avenue. He said that he had heard nothing about the vandalism. Why the shift supervisors over the weekend have not mentioned it to their officers is unknown.
"If we ignore it, it didn't happen?"
*tears*
I can’t say what I feel,because I’ll get banned..
And even if someone of your stature were to try to do what you have suggested that I do, the Park Service and Park Police would not allow it.
I went there this morning to document the damage, because the MSM has not, as well as to find out if The Park Service was working on cleaning up the damage, which they are. Unfortunately, the substance has soaked deep enough into the stone that the pressure washer was unable to fully remove it.
Your other insinuations are what I'd expect from a not-quite-rational leftist, but not from someone who says he's a conservative.
LOL !!
You are rude beyond my acceptance.
If anyone tried to clean it they would be arrested!!!!!!
Only the sneaky ones who did this can get away with their actions.
