My father’s ‘76 Volare had a 318 in it. While nowhere near as potent as previous Valiant variants w/ a 318 (Duster!), I still surprised a few Camaro owners with that little station wagon (forest green, luggage rack, white wall tires, etc).
Mine was the '78....kids transorter...we called it the "generic green stationwagon"....but it survived a trip to Disneyland....(except for a hole in the radiator).
Thyat 318 could be turned into a 340 or 360 though with a little work.
