I sent a thank you to Kevin Ferris for his level headed reporting. I am surprised he wrote as he did. I am from Philly and sometimes force myself to read their editorial section (Currents). And he is not exactly a conservative, if you know what I mean. I was pleasantly surprise he wrote as he did. The tide has changed. Those L/MSM and associated news agencies that are not fully in bed with the far left and socialist just may start to produce more level non-biased articles in the days to come.
After all. Iraqi just may settle down and in a year or two see large sums of money flowing in from all points of the globe.
Once big businesses set up shop, the Iraqi government would have to be literally suicidal to not kill any remaining appendages of the insurgency.
I have harped for going on three years plus as how the huge reserves of oil in Iraq will ultimately play a part in their revitialization.
As pressures build for the Shia to suscomb to the concept of profit sharing amoung all Iraqi, the spirit of all of them will be to kill off all the thugs regardless of their religous (cult)/ethnic persuasions.
It is only a matter of time. Besides, at this point we can see a growing number of Iraqi really like the idea of being able to elect a government.
Saddam's brutal images will fade from their minds. They will face a brave new world, free to a large point of Islamic laws that could put them back into the boiling pot.
They see with their own eyes as how religion cannot be allowed to run their lives.
The tide has turned.
