Fred’s already explained his vote on McCain/Feingold, said it was a mistake he regretted and apologized. Read his essays on Townhall.com, go way back. He’s very candid on a lot of subjects. One thing you don’t get from Fred is nuance. He’s a federalist at heart.

I could care less. I have been worn down and my voting standards have been shamelessly lowered . I voted for elitists fratboys named George or Jorge Bush for President not once but FOUR times. After that I welcome, a mediocre actor with a political meddling trophy wife and who played footsies with and looked up to the likes of INSANE MCCAIN. The GOP is no longer the party of Reagan, Eisenhower, or even the tricky one, Dick Nixon for that matter.

You're absolutely right to ask that question. It was a classic case of he-was-against-it-before-he-was-for-it. He has never said he wants it rolled back. He's stated he wants to "fix" it. The only way to fix it is to overturn it. Fred has never said he wanted McCain-Feingold overturned.
