Ha ha . Talk about disillusioned. I’m amazed.
1. No war with Iraq was going on .
2. We ran the WMD inspectors from the UN out of iraq so we could invade. But ,of course Hans Blitz had found NOTHING!! AND THERE WAS NOTHING!!! We invaded to save the world from WMD— THERE WERE NO WMD— Looney
3. Congress voted for what? Have you read the resolution? The Resolution absolutely does not authorize the occupation of IRAQ. Gosh read the darn thing, Looney!

THERE WERE NO WMD

Looks like I'm going to have to dig back into my archives and dig up all the chemical weapons that were found in Iraq back in 2004 and beyond.

Bush interrupted Saddam's comeback on the world stage.
A beneficial side effect was the dismantling of Libya's WMD program.

Containment of Iraq was failing more each day.

1. The oil-for-food program was corrupt
2. The weapons inspections were a farce
3. There are indications that Saddam was co-operating with Qadhafi on programs to develop weapons in Libya
4. US and allied planes were targeted
5. Uninspected flights to Baghdad gutted the sanctions
6. Terrorists were training in Iraq
7. Saddam supported terrorism - paying $25,000 to each family of a suicide bomber and $10,000 to the families of other Palestinians killed in the intifadah.
8. Saddam created the Jerusalem Army [the Jaysh al-Quds] to "liberate" Jerusalem
9. Saddam refused to destroy his Samoud 2 missiles which violated the UN mandate
10. Saddam brutalized our fellow human beings

Saddam was thumbing his nose at decent people as he rewarded his collaborators.

You need to do some homework.
Saddam never complied with the treaties he agreed to at close of gulf war one. we were flying sorties enforcing the no fly zone the day before the current conflict started.

Ergo, we were still technically at war

The UN gave Saddam 9 long months to move the WMD while we chatted with them about the current conflict.

We watched the convoys headed to Syria on satellite.

And we still found 500 rounds of cyclosarin morter shells.
“oh it was old stuff, that doeant count”
Why didnt Hans Blix find it? Why didnt Saddam declare it?
Why would saddam hide old useless stuff while risking violations of law?

I suggest the answer is that he had tons of this stuff.
Libya gave up their WMD. Heck I think the war was worth it just for that.

I went to Libya when he was killing our troops and bombing europe.

get some learning
