Gainesville, FL (LifeNews.com) -- The family of Terri Schiavo is continuing its efforts to block a speech by Jack Kevorkian scheduled for the middle of next month. The speech would be the first for the former assisted suicide crusader following his release from prison for killing a disabled man and showing the death on national television.Kevorkian would speak to students at the University of Florida on October 11 and receive $50,000 for the talk, as long as his parole officers approve the trip.
The family of Terri Schiavo has been leading an effort to stop the speech by gathering petitions from concerned citizens so Kevorkian doesn't get a platform in their home state.
They don't want the former pathologist telling students that people with disabilities should be killed, like their sister, rather than receiving appropriate medical treatment or rehabilitative care.
Bobby Schindler, Terri's brother, told LifeNews.com, "We have collected thousands of petitions (and they are still coming in) to deliver to the Office of the President of the University of Florida."
"We're demanding the University rescind its offer to pay $50,000 for Kevorkian to address the students," he added.
"Despite the ongoing message of death spreading through our society and those, like Jack Kevorkian, who attempt to justify killing the most vulnerable among us, we are committed to fight against this death-obsessed culture and spread Terri's legacy of life, hope and love," Schindler explained.
He said there is still time for pro-life people and others worried about Kevorkian's pro-assisted suicide message to sign a petition asking the University of Florida to cancel the speech.
The petition can be found at the Terri Schindler Schiavo Foundation web site.

The courthouse is right next to the scientologist world HQ. You remember LISA MACPHERSON? She had a gruesome death at the HQ. Slap on wrist. Clearwater Bar holds events at the sci-fi’s dining room. The newbies who aren’t Tom Cruises do work that Tom Cruise wouldn’t do. Downtown Clearwater is a vast wasteland but for the sci’s mostly on foot from one bldg to another. Cleveland St. is just how you get to the beach.

However, Greta Van Susteren is a scientologist but she thought killing Terri was hard to fathom. I don’t know if she covered the last vigil or not cuz I was there and when you are in the middle of news, you don’t even know what’s on tv. My nephew was in the middle of news at the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. He was pulling people out of the Mississippi. It was surreal to see him on tv. He really was quite the media hog but then again, he wants to be an attorney. LOL

The Schiavos need to move on. The Schiavos have moved on. Except for their parents, who Michael bragged to Larry King about having starved and dehydrated to death like he did to Terri. The Schiavos aren't showing any sign of giving a crap about the past. They've moved on, as though Terri was nothing more than a bump in the road.

It says
"This person suffering from hereditary defects costs the people 60,000 Reichmarks during his lifetime. People, that is your money. Read 'New People'." As opposed to "their meager savings for the surviving spouse fading because of the so called heroics by the bleeding hearts and do gooders who want to postpone their death"
See how different that is? (I don't see the difference either.)

Dang, you're good! Did you translate that yourself?
And let's not forget who publishes "New People." It's the monthly magazine of the Race-Political office of the Nazi Party.
And I don't see much difference either.

I found that translation posted with the photo somewhere. I can’t remember where. I added the creepy looking font, because I thought it was fitting. I like to post that photo with translation whenever I see a post that says the same thing, in FReeperese. It’s amazing how often FReepers post Nazi propaganda, and then freak out when you post the original version of their argument.

For some fascinating reading and catch-up on Michael Schiavo, here is a new website dedicated to getting it all out:
This page and subsequent pages will list contradictory statements that Michael Schiavo made in court, media interviews, and in his book, "Terri: The Truth." Schiavo has made numerous conflicting statements as to what happened the night Terri collapsed on Feb 25, 1990. The viewer will see that Schiavo often changes his story. Many of the statements have links to documents and court records that you can read through. Most documents are in Acrobat Reader format (pdf).

Visitors to this thread may wonder why we still bring up Terri after more than two years. Some tell us as the liberals do, to MoveOn. But the topic remains strong as it is more than Terri but her Legacy that continues and is strong. It is not we but the leftists, the socialists, the dems, the MSM and assorted death enthusiast moonbats who refuse to let go. They bring it up on a daily basis, as if it were an albatross around their collective neck.
An example of this is the recent outrage of the left that we dare to compare the cruelty of Michael Vick to the agony suffered by Terri and innocents also subject to such cruelty.
Here is an example in the Intellectual Conservative with our argument against how the left twists their perceptions:
Even though I may love my dog more than say, Howard Dean or Hillary Clinton, I can still tell you with absolute certainty that if Rover and the worst excuse for human debris were trapped together in a burning building and I could only save one of them, Id be looking for a new puppy as soon as I recovered from my burns, not to mention the shock that Im the guy responsible for Howard or Hillary still showing up on TV. Substitute a brain-damaged human being in a vegetative state lying in his own filth who was probably going to die in a week anyway, and it wouldnt make a difference. Rover would still be toast, literally and figuratively.
Even a supposedly worthless (in the eyes of the mainstream media), brain-damaged, bed-ridden woman like Terry Schiavo has more intrinsic value than the smartest, most wonderful, rarest, most precious animal on the planet. That person was created literally or metaphorically in the image of God. Whether she was born that way or became that way makes no more difference to me in recognizing her intrinsic human nature than focusing on the color of another persons skin, or any other physical attribute you choose.

‘Yeah, a guy who tried to start the debate on whether we should kill the disabled...’
I understand why you hestitated to use the correct term in this debate.
‘Disabled’ is hardly an accurate description, and I suspect you knew this when you choose that particular term.
We both know he was about terminally ill patients that are forced to suffer horribly for long periods before finally dying.
If I had a disease that was incredibly painful, completely debilitating....I honestly don’t know what I would personally do in such a situation. There are those that will survive you to consider, for example. In my case its my wife.
Should I bankrupt her completely so as to endure an agonizing ‘end’ months, maybe years in the future?
Nobody can answer that complicated question for anyone else.
And the Federal Government has no business being involved.
As for my original comment, sorry Kervorkian had nothing to do with that particular case. Its always been my suspicion there was ‘foul play’ at work.
I do think the family, after suffering through all of it, would be better off ‘moving on’.
But thats also a personal decision, isn’t it?

The Schiavos need to move on.
I agree, to jail that is. Along with a couple of Michaels’s attorneys and Judge Greer.
The final autopsy doesn’t support this. I do believe there was something seriously, horribly wrong in this incident, but there isn’t anything to support further investigation in my view.

Disabled is hardly an accurate description, and I suspect you knew this when you choose that particular term. And what term would you prefer, depressed or would you revert to the old standard of "worthless eater"?
We both know he was about terminally ill patients that are forced to suffer horribly for long periods before finally dying.
Again, are we talking about people who suffered from depression and chronic fatigue syndrome?
If I had a disease that was incredibly painful, completely debilitating....I honestly dont know what I would personally do in such a situation. There are those that will survive you to consider, for example. In my case its my wife.
Should I bankrupt her completely so as to endure an agonizing end months, maybe years in the future?
I am terribly sorry about your wife. But, in many cases, it is not so much the attitude of bankrupting someone completely as it is PRESERVING more money for the heirs.
In Terri's case, Michael used TERRI'S money to kill her.
And the Federal Government has no business being involved.
Why? Be specific, because such things as the Americans with Disabilities Act and the United States Constitution indicate otherwise.
I do think the family, after suffering through all of it, would be better off moving on.
Just like MADD and Megan Kanka's family should just "move one".
For some reason, it seems that whenever the term "move on" is used, it's telling conservatives to stop caring about liberals breaking the law.
