Environmentally friendly cars might be popular with Hollywood stars Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Leonardo Di Caprio, but they certainly have failed to impress Yoko Ono.
The widow of late Beatle John Lennon feels that environmentally friendly cars are not as comfortable as her Bentley.

He was about as capitalistic as one can get!! It’s fairly well documented that his “peace & love” crap was not for real. He even beat his wives, was a drunk, druggie, etc. But he did have talent. And, Imagine is a nice tune IF you can ignore the lyrics (which he didn’t believe anyway!).
Thoughts on “Happiness Is A Warm Gun”? :-)

“Imagine” does not just trash capitalism: it trashes all of western culture.

Alright I won’t speak ill of the dead anymore, after this post. His music sucked, he was a left-winged hypocrite and the Stones were much better than the Beatles anyway. As a group or solo.

Lennon was not a bad musician, As you suggest, the distinctive Beatle sound was McCartney’s doing, but listening to Lennon’s later stuff, one can hear some of his contributions in the earlier music. I was joking about ONO. Oh, yes, I heard her "stuff,: too. Lennon was blind, deaf and dumb to have succumbed to her “charms.”

Heh. I liked John Lennon a lot more after seeing a special on him. He was going to do a bunch of concerts for leftwingers opposing Nixon rallies in ‘72. Abbie Hoffman was arranging it, John Lennon’s involvement would have made them huge, and they were going to shadow the Nixon campaign and basically torment Nixon as he tried to campaign. Surprise, surprise, the INS pulled John Lennon’s green card because of a drug conviction. He was in court for years after trying to stay in the country. He had the sense not to do the concerts . . .
Yoko is just a wackjob. But on this one, does anyone disagree with her? Wouldn’t you rather have a Bentley than an electric car?

Not to mention being one of the two most boring songs in history. The other being “A Horse With No Name”.

At least she is being honest. Not like the limo-liberals jetting around in their Gulfstreams telling the little people they are not being enviro-friendly enough.

But you must understand that Mark Chapman was only interested in killing Lennon. His reading of Catcher in the Rye made it imperative that Lennon was the world's biggest phony, and to prevent more young people from "falling" to phoniness, the leader had to be killed.
Being the misfit that Chapman was in all other ventures, it is surprising that all bullets lodged in the intended target.

Yoko Ono and Jesse Jackson; we’d never know either if someone famous had been allowed to live.
