I’d love to see a breakdown of how many guns are owned most frequently. 1 or a larger #? I suspect the latter. Is a half dozen typical or atypical? I know I’m good for a few. :) And would like a few more.
Kind of like Lay's potato chips - "You can't own just one.".
For the most widely owned firearm in the USA, I’d expect it to be the Remington 850 pump shotgun in 12 gage. After that, the Ruger 10/22 rifle in .22 caliber. This would be in civilian ownership, not police or military.
I had to think about it: three antiques that won’t fire, one shotgun, three bolt action rifles, four lever action rifles, three semiautomatic rifles and five pistols (one revolver and four automatics). I didn’t know I had that many. I hope Rudy doesn’t want me to register and pay for each one.
Estimated 80-90 million gun owners, which would mean on average about 3 per household that has guns.
In my case, right on the money, except I don’t count a Crossman .177
But in fact if it came down to putting some grub on the stove, that little Crossman could snag alot of small game and birds.
And if we got invaded by midgets I could use it...
