Long March Strategy Memo: 1) Define deviancy down. 2) Establish homosexual rights as equivalent to civil rights. 3) Train children from preschool television through university education that homosexuality is a legitimate lifestyle choice, equal in every way to heterosexuality. 4) Stifle dissent through hate speech laws. 5) Infiltrate churches to destroy opposition from within. 6) Attack and discredit those churches that withstand infiltration. 7) Use regulatory powers through tax authorities and all other areas of bureaucratic control to harrass opponents of the homosexual agenda. 8) Promote on an ongoing basis through controlled media outlets the homosexual agenda. 9) Selectively choose judges who are comrades within the Long March to elevate homosexual rights at all opportunities to make homosexual unions, adoptions, and bequests exactly the same as marriage. 10) Support pornography and other means of inflaming desires for same sex experiences. 11) A new, enlarged body of homosexuals will be ours, politically, for their lifetimes.

There is a difference between conservative and libertarian, although libertarians are conservative on some issues.
Also, there is a difference between gay and homosexual. I have no objections to homosexuals who keep their life styles private. I do strongly object to homosexuals who label themselves “gay” and try to impose their views on everyone else.
Imposing perversity on others is neither conservative nor libertarian, frankly. And just how many votes are we actually talking about here? A few thousand?
When I hear the words “big tent,” I reach for my gun—so to speak. It means everything is ok as long as you agree to abortion, perversion, destruction of the family, and whatever else these people have in mind.

What a fraud. I'm so glad I never voted for this loser. I had a feeling he was a phony since the first time I met him--when he was campaigning at a Catholic homeschooling convention.
Better that his pro-homo leanings are out of the closet, though.

Richard Nixon was the last conservative president.
Obviously, I’m not a Reagan worshiper.

You cannot recognize special rights for personal sexual behavior. It opens the door for others to claim special rights for any given behavior on the basis of "sinister birth" or other false claims. Not every "protected" minority group is a result of birth. Religion is a very personal decision -- no one is born a Christian, etc. Yet we don't discriminate against people of minority religions, nor do we consider them to have special rights.A Buddhist may not be going to heaven, yet we don't kick them out of the party for their moral choices.
Blacks and other minorities don't have protected because they were "born" that way. They have protected status because they were systematically discriminated against because they were "born" that way.
And, as a libertarian, I'm not sure what is so "special" about the rights that gays want? To not be fired from their jobs?

Should a landlord be forced by law to rent to a homosexual couple if he doesn’t wish to?
To: Greg F
You hit the nail on the head. The “gay rights” agenda isn’t libertarian, it’s socialist big brother nanny statism.

My opinion of liberalism is that, if it worked, it would be conservatism. That is, if liberalism could create healthy and successful societies, it would have long ago done so, and thus liberals would today be trying to defend their fine civilizations (conserving them) rather than infecting ours. Awesome point.

Antonio Gramsci was a follower of Niccolò Machiavelli as well as Karl Marx.
Take note on this thread to see further influence in our political opponents.

He should rent to anyone qualified (credit-wise, etc). What does the private behavior have to do with being a good tenant?

You didn't answer the question. Should a landlord be force by the government to rent to a homosexual if he doesn't want to?

[Stonewall's AntiWar movement funded by International A.N.S.W.E.R. ]
Most on FR understand that A.N.S.W.E.R. is just a front for the international communist movement.
Now, why would communists want to fund homosexual groups in western capitalist societies?
* The family is the foundational social structure of all human societies.
* Destroy the family and the destruction of the society will follow.
Homosexuality is a weapon being used by the communist movement. It's not all that complicated.
The Soviets always had a knack for using our greatest strength - FREEDOM - against us. They understand the destructive nature of an uncontrolled sexual appetite for which Plato coined the term -"Tyranny of the appetite".
And how do homosexuals fare in Soviet states? They are eliminated once they outlive their usefulness.

You didn't answer the question. Should a landlord be forced by the government to rent to a homosexual if he doesn't want to? Yes, I think gays should fall under the Fair Housing laws. The law that says landlords can't discriminate against divorced people, atheists, handicapped, etc.
Why would you exlude gays? A landlord is forced to rent to a Hindu, yet many people find that immoral -- First Commandment and all. I just don't understand the obsession with this particular group of sinners.
To: Millers Cave
Should a landlord be subject to punishment by the state if he refuses to rent to a homosexual couple? You called yourself a libertarian, so I’d like to know your opinion on this.
To: Millers Cave
Puroresu’s point is this: legislating against discrimination is in tension with freedom of association. Government tells you who you must deal with and on what terms. We had a historic legacy of slavery and discrimination against blacks and abrogated the 1st Amendment and common law freedom of association to overcome that historic wrong. Now that we have stepped out on the slippery slope of violating individual rights to make up for social or historical wrongs, other claimants step up to recieve their “right” to force others to deal with them.
