I was so amazed at watching some of the Katrina coverage from New Orleans. Especially around the Super Dome. There was loads of garbage laying around them, and yet no one thought to pick it up, and clean up their own environment where they were going to be living for a while anyway. It spoke volumes to the people who were offering sanctuary for these “homeless” “displaced” persons. In the rush to help no one was really looking at the situation. Too bad.
