This isn’t good. Kingston is going to be hit by the strong end of the storm and get almost the full storm surge.
You would think people in town would get the idea and "head for the hills".....just about any old holler, cave, bauxite quarry, or thicket would be preferable to trying to ride it out in a waterfront town with the dirty side coming right at you.
You can survive getting soaked or having a bad weekend. You can't hang around a disintegrating waterfront. Ask Galveston.
