Got lucky that time, there were only 20 people left in my little town of 3000. I had the only functioning bar left in San Leon. LOL. This time no body is leaving (or so they say), the Rita evac was HELL! Still 24hrs out we should have a very good idea on what Deans plans are. Hope models are correct and Dean goes south of the USA.
Well, that Friday night that Rita was coming in was the day that I finally signed up here on FR, after lurking for several years. It was a rough night, but I stayed through it, here in Nederland. Took care of my grandmother, who was just out of the hospital. She’s still kicking, two years later, and at age 93. She was so zonked out on medications that night, she didn’t have any idea a massive hurricane was hitting. The house was positively pulsating with those winds, and trees were going down left and right.
