Hurricane warnings have been issued for Dominica and St. Lucia as Hurricane Dean races westward into the Caribbean Sea at 24mph. This motion should bring the center of Dean near the Lesser Antilles on Friday. The increased forward speed of the storm has lessened preparation time for Caribbean Islands in its path. Hurricane Dean has favorable conditions to develop into a major hurricane over the next several days.

marking thread
Yes, I agree...when you click on it, you can see that eye.
Guess the next question is whether the NHC makes it a Cat 3 in the 2 pm intermediate advisory or waits until the 5 pm full update.
In a word: No.
YES
No thank you. We have had plenty lately. Is Erin affecting the upper RG? I noticed (as I was going to pay my flood insurance) that some of the resacas are up.
Dean is looking to me a lot like Allen.
NO...the valley needs no rain? WOW...the valley has been in a drought situation for yrs and yrs. If that’s the case there should be some really delicious crops? Yum Yum Yum
WHY is this thread still in general chat??!! We have another potential Katrina here and the news is buried.
I got here a little after Allen so I’m not familar with it. I’ve heard stories though. We have had flash flooding several times lately. I don’t think we could even handle a TS right now.
After the 2 wks of a heat wave...in my area everything was completely dry. We needed that rain yesterday.
Where are you?
That’s what some are saying...Allen...but there are others OUT of the news weather 24/7 hype crapola...that are saying 2 mexico landfalls.
