It never belonged on a news channel in the first place. If they wanted a comedy show it should have been on Fox Entertainment, not Fox News.

It reminded me of Saturday Night Live: an occasional chuckle which was enough to make me hope for more, but they never quite delivered.
Dennis Miller: good every time.
I am the ACLU skit: funny once or twice, but then it wore out (hey, that is like the typical SNL repeat skit).
Host segments: mostly boring. A lot of humor is the surprise, and too many times I was able to say the punchline before they got to it.
Rush and Coulter: not quite as good as Rush thought (sorry Rush).
Lorenzo Lamas Hollywood: pretty good. I liked the recent segment on sending in strange baby names to celebrities because they're running out. Names like Apple don't just grow on trees.
Laura Ingraham OxyClinton skit - Hillary-ious. If they could have kept that writing up, it might have lasted.
I ended up watching it many weeks, but I wasn't too upset when I forgot to record it or it was preempted.

Somebody must have forgotten that a “News Comedy Show” ...
needs to actually be funny in order to succeed

Dennis Miller could make it a hit with him as anchor and with Jackie Mason as a roving reporter/commentator.

It would have worked if the writing was tweaked.

The first episode, which featured guest appearances by Rush Limbaugh and Laura Ingraham, beat its cable news competition and drew 1.4 million viewers, which qualifies for hit status on Sunday nights on Fox News Channel. I thought they also had Ann Coulter. Anyway I digress, if they want a BIG HIT they should have a Sunday night hourlong program featuring RUSH and possibly Laura.

There is that and the fact that it wasn't funny.

It is a shame. I overlooked the overacting and it reminding me of the Jane Curtain days because it felt so goooooood to hear the words coming out of their mouths. It made me happy.
While they're at it...tell those 24 guys if they don't want to lose their 24 audience, stop the PSA's about Global Warming and leave our heros intact. If they make Chloe a left-wing propagandist, I'll scream! It's bad enough KS wants to take Jack away from us.

I had better things to do on Sunday nights at that time, like sleep.

No big loss to me, but there are a few other things they should change:
Shep Smith, Greta, Geraldo and the endless useless sidewalk antics on Fox and Friends.
When Shep comes on after Brit -— I go to Glenn Beck on CNN.
When Greta or Geraldo or inane stuff on Fx/Friends come on I surf other news or put on the weather channel.
The radio is better than that endess twit.

They emphasized “message” over humor. When doing political comedy, the emphasis should ALWAYS be on comedy first, not message. When I do my DUmmie FUnnies I don’t even think about the message part. My main concern is the humor value. Trying to put a message in comedy is like getting slammed on the head by a hammer. Annoying. And NOT funnie.
