Duncan Hunter's Iowa Straw Poll speech.
You may let polls and media moguls decide who the next President will be, however, I choose to fight for the MOST CONSERVATIVE candidate running. So you were an Alan Keyes supporter in 2000?
Great quote and I agree with Rush.
Hunter is THE most conservative candidate, and some people want to give up on him this early in the campaign.
Political analysts say that people aren’t even paying attention yet.
The Republican Party is going to be taken over by the liberal Kennedy wing of the party (where’d I hear that before :) ), if people don’t wake the heck up.
Hunter brings out the fact that we can’t even find too many companies who produce our military supplies in this country, and why isn’t any other candidate bringing this up?
If we send all the manufacturing jobs out of this country, it will be a defense threat to our country, as well as an economic threat.
Hunter has a really nice personality, too. I liked the story he told about his 6-year old grandson asking the teacher if he could count on her to vote for his granddad, the future president. :)
The kid is smarter than some posting on this thread!
I’m still not voting for Rudy. Organization had nothing to do with this and you know it, it was all about money. I suppose you could make the argument that organizing one’s checkbook is organization. We will know when the first “real” vote is cast and not until then. I suppose some require more organization than others. Rudy is polling well and seems to be running a good campaign but in the end he is still a social liberal and won’t be nominated. I encourage you to vote for Hunter you seem like you would admire his honesty, integrity and knowledge on the issues. You have to at least like his “buck stops here” mentality. Don’t you find it refreshing that with Hunter it isn’t always “ a staffer must have filled that out” or “a staffer lied to the press”? I mean, with all these maverick staffers how organized can one really be?
PS: Vote for Hunter and try to encourage your neighbor to run. It would be nice having 2 good candidates from which to choose.
Replay is on C-span NOW!
“The kid is smarter than some posting on this thread!”
YES! And I’m glad you noticed that, too.

Although, come to think of it, it’s not that hard to notice it. :)
Thanks. :)
Been reading along, just wanted to give you all attaboys for your unrelenting support for Duncan Hunter! Thanks!
None of the issues matter if you cannot DEFEND them, so I can't support any candidate who supports AWB. Since both candidates also support gay "marriage", abortion on demand, and SOCIALIST healthcare...scratch Rudy & Mitt.
WILL NOT support any candidate who thinks "our policy" in mid-east is a reason for terrorism....scratch Mrs. Paul.
Can't support any candidate who supports amnesty "deals" or "aspirations of citizenship" for law breakers....scratch McCain, Brownback & Fred Thompson.
Huckabee is a tax-n-spender, and another who would put a price on citizenship for ILLEGALS.....scratch.
Gilmore dropped out on July 14th....scratch.
From Wikipedia: "Shortly after leaving his Bush Cabinet post, Thompson joined and served for two years on the board of directors of Applied Digital Solutions, makers of the controversial VeriChips: glass-encapsulated RFID devices to be injected into human flesh for identification purposes and for use as a payment device".....scratch Tommy Thompson.
That leaves Hunter and Tancredo, a ticket I'd support.
Thanks upsdriver.
Will you be at your computer when Hunter visit FR on Monday?
Im still not voting for Rudy.I wasn't aware anyone was asking you to.
Organization had nothing to do with this and you know it, it was all about money.Money buys organization which raises more money.
I encourage you to vote for Hunter you seem like you would admire his honesty, integrity and knowledge on the issues.First of all, I'm not a registered Republican, I am a "decline to state."
Yes I will!! I just happen to be on vacation this week. Going golfing in the morning but will be home in plenty of time for the Duncan Hunter interview. How about you?
See ya then if I can figure out the time zones. :)
Well they say 11am to 1pm Pacific time. That puts me at 1pm to 3pm central time. Should be fun and informative. And should help fire up the troops!
I didn’t come to your door selling anything. Hunter needs no salesman. I encouraged you to vote for the man, period. If that came off as an invitation to a cult you are either very ignorant about cults or a member of one. We are Hunter supporters on this thread and I am not quite sure what you expected. For an undecided you certainly seem to have some agenda. If Hunter has no chance and you had a point, then surely you have have made it by now. If you find it silly to choose a candidate at this time, good for you. Perhaps you could “not choose a candidate” somewhere else? Hunter supporters, above all, are interested in the future of their country. We are issue oriented and you can only talk about, process and organization and the way things are done. I have some news for you, we are tired of the way things are done and business as usual. If disregarding the prattle and presage you are disgorging is delusional, count me in. In the end, you have no idea who is going to win or lose or what anyone’s chances are any more than anyone else. You have been on the thread for some time now droning on how Hunter has no chance to people who obviously believe in and support him, while admitting you can’t make a decision. IF you are undecided and so sure of who can and can’t win, then what is the upside for you on this thread with your gloom and doom vaticinations no one is interested in?
Just damn!! I was hoping to join the Bo Derek Vacuum Cleaners Selling Cult & Fan Club. I guess I will just have to settle on a “right on all the issues candidate” like Duncan Hunter instead!:)
Then why don’t you go out and raise a few million dollars for Hunter?
Oh, that’s right, because there’s not a few million dollars out there for him.
Anyways, yes, I have a point, which I have made a few times already:
Hunter is finished. It’s over. It’s time for you to stop living in denial and move on.
Or at least stop attacking the candidates who are still viable and realize one of them is going to be the nominee.
Or are you Duncan Hunter supporters going to be the Alan Keyes supporters of this cycle?
It would be in everyone’s best interest if the sore losers didn’t try to sabotage the whole party for once.
In the end, you have no idea who is going to win or lose or what anyones chances are any more than anyone else.I, like many people rooted in reality have a pretty good idea of who is going to win, and most certainly who isn't.
I have some news for you, we are tired of the way things are done and business as usual. Then you have two options, either give in to the process and the way things are done and send Duncan Hunter tens of millions of dollars and volunteer for his campaign, or join up with the DUers and stage a bloody revolution. Because you're not going to change a damn thing by living in Fantasyland, where Duncan Hunter enjoys massive support.
You have been on the thread for some time now droning on how Hunter has no chance to people who obviously believe in and support him, while admitting you cant make a decision.Oh, I know who I'm going to support: the Republican nominee.
