We are asking prayer for safety,well-being and release of the Korean hostages from Taliban terrorists. 2-3 of the hostages have been murdered! Negotiations for release are political, so the process is slow and painful. Please pray for families involved waiting for their loved ones. Thank You for your prayerful support. Hebrews 13:3..Remember the prisoners as if chained with them, and those who are mistreated, since you yourselves are in the body also.
There are other family issues that have been very troubling to us recently, but this situation seems to be working out in a way that is helping resolve those problems. As I said on another thread, God sometimes works out His will for us in mysterious ways that we can't understand, and I believe this present situation which seem so hard to bear for now will work out to the eternal benefit of all concerned. Again, thank you for your concern and for your prayers.
Please Know dear Freeper, your son and your family will be in our prayers.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.NKJV
LORD, Master of all of Creation, we humbly ask for your help and your mighty protection for these hostages. Please sustain them through their ordeal and comfort their families. Empower those working for their safe release. We pray that they may soon be reunited with their loved ones.
Also we pray, LORD, for the strength and conviction that we, as a nation, will stand strong and victorious against evil people who immerse themselves in hate, death and destruction. Help us to bring to swift justice those who target and attack innocents, especially those involved in this barbarous kidnapping.
All of these things we ask in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
Psa 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psa 91:2 I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
Father, I pray that you would help them to be faithful in tribulation. I ask you to fill them with your Spirit and supply all their needs according to the riches in Glory in Christ Jesus.
LORD, do for enow’s son what you did for me.
We wait patiently on your goodness, for your mercies are new every morning.
Great if your faithfulness.
We commit to You these children of Yours, for they are believers and are heirs of the Kingdom. May Your mighty hands shield them from all harm and danger and may not one of the hairs on their heads be harmed. Show they a way of escape, Father, and may each one live for Your glory. Make haste to help them, Gracious Lord, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

ND is one state I have never visited, but a former associate pastor of the church I attend is now pastoring a small Baptist church in Fargo. He says it's unbelievably cold up there (he's from the deep south) but he loves the great ND people.
Thank you for your prayer, it is very much appreciated! They will need the strength of Samson, the judgment of Deborah and the craftiness of Jael!May God raise up a Gideon, in His Jesus Name and For His Eternal Glory, Amen.
I grew up in the tidewater of MD and moved here some 30 years ago. He is right about the cold.
My first winter here was as a Grad Student. I heard all the horror stories about how the temperatures were going to hit -30 and stay there for months.
Frankly, I did not have the gear for that. I shared an office with an Army Captain working on Master's degrees in Engineering and Geology (yep, both--really bright and decent fellow) who told me to dress in layers and I'd be OK. He was right.
After two months of seemingly interminable cold, (just like they said!) all the locals were griping about what a bitter winter it was.
I had taken it in stride because I did not know any better!
It is the people who make the weather something you deal with, not the other way around. That is one of the reasons I decided to make my home here. (Now 12 grandkids, one great-grand, and counting.)
Thank you for your blessings!
I join in prayer for these hostages!
