They should play the video in synch with ‘Hakuna Matata’; just more of that problem-free philosophy.

I saw this a few weeks ago. Pretty good stuff. I know the crocs and lions have to eat, but I hope the buffalo calf lived.

I don’t think the petas will like it because the animals look too much like academics fighting over grant money.

My favorite quote from “A Bug’s Life”:

“It’s a bug-eat-bug world out there, Princess. One of those ‘Circle of Life’ kind of things.”

The herd running back to chase off the lions and save the calf is a definite Disney moment. The Lion King did have a “bad guy” lion, Scar.

I remarked to my wife this morning that one of those lions probably suffered some serious internal injuries from the horn on that thing when it was flipped in the air.

Thanks for making this better known. The video is pretty spectacular even though the resolution / encoding is pretty low level.

Whenever I watch something like this, I keep wanting the cameraman to move in a different direction or zoom in or out differently or ... I end up talking back to the video “No, no, go left! Zoom in! Pan right! ARGH! You missed it!”

I guess I'm just a frustrated director! ;-)

I’d say if that was unfolding in front of me I would not be moving much at all. :)

I thought it was interesting too. I showed it to some friends though, and they weren’t impressed.
