Yes, the same Mc Hammer (Can't Touch This)...has just released a new video and song called Bring Them Home. But it's not what you think it would be with a title like that.
A very pro-WOT, Pro-War In Iraq, Pro-Bush message...just a different perspective coming from a man who is voicing his respect for President Bush and our troops.
Check it out...

You think this is pro-troop, pro-wot, pro-Bush?
Maybe I watched a different video...
It looked anti war to me, but I didn’t understand 3/4 of what he said.
Voicing his respect for President Bush and our troops, yeah, but not for the continuation of our efforts in Iraq.
This video is pro war and pro Bush. I just think what he’s saying is that we were right to do what we did but that the US has done all that we can.
Tastefully done, and it seems to be respectfully addressing the President but it’s definitely anti-war, and I suspect the respectful tone is more about getting his message accepted than about actually feeling respectful. He’s basically saying, yeah, yeah, yeah, you did a great job out there in the desert, now bring them home. It’s up to the audience to determine whether he really thinks the job was great or not.
Did they steal those machines from Chuck E Cheese?
Well, we haven’t done all we can. In fact, we have just started. All we lack is the will to see this through to the end.
What has this country come to?
"See, instead of one of us sexless Democrats, we'll have this really macho rapper will salute the flag and describe the war as a 'job well done,' instead of a 'failure.' Then he makes our usual appeasement pitch, on the grounds that it's not worth more sacrifice. That way, once the troops leave, the bloodbath in Iraq and the Middle East will be well underway during the campaign of '08, and we can blame the Republicans."
But last month, we had the Brookings report on Petraeus and his "surge." And Gordon Brown's support of Pres. Bush's WOT. And Sarko's American vacation. A waste of styrene plastic, all those CDs.
So sorry about your unfortunate timing, traitors.
he does seem to be pro-troops, but I agree he is not in favor of seeing this through. His blog:
What else can we do?
It’s not Al-Queada causing US problems in Iraq, but it’s the Shia vs. Sunni listening to their Imans. Maybe we should send over Pat Robertson, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, A Catholic Bishop or two, and explain to the Imans they can have a lot more money and power if they have a stable prosperous Iraq.
I totaly agree. We have to take care of Iran and Syria, then we can bring our soldiers home.
Sorry; between the crack about Katrina and the inference that our soldiers are little children, I just don’t see what the positive message is.
It sounded anti war to me, and I did understand 3/4 of what he said.
MC Hammer...Keepin’ it real! OMG.
There’s a tendancy for washed up celebs who can’t sell to turn to public causes to get attention. Welcome, MCH.
I remember he voted for Bush twice and he said something in Vibe Magazine a bit back..that he stands behind W and the war on terror and did not regret voting for him because so many millions were freed under Bush in Afghanistan and Iraq but that the situation spiraled out from within with IED’s and and the civil war brewing and how it shouldn’t be up to us any longer to run the show and leave it to the government they voted in.
thanks.
The government they voted in is, hopefully, collapsing.
