Thanks for the ping Wallaby, even though it is a terribly sad one.

I will miss our conversations and his wit.

I pray he was as happy as he was writing to me last time we talked to tell of the joy he’d found.

I loved his prose — in Blood Trail, his posts, his articles and letters, he was a tireless and honorable man even where hope seemed lost and I was pleased to be a comrade at arms here and have the privilege of meeting him in person.

May he rest in peace.
