You forgot a few:
- But she's a woman and I don't like that. (heard mostly from older women)
- She let her no-good husband treat her like dirt and covered up for him. I don't want him back in the WH.
- Gee, he's so good-looking and well-groomed, so rich, such a nice family
- He's a better American than she is.
- He earned his money. She made inside deals and her husband made speeches.
- Just what's wrong with having a real business leader in the WH? The business of America is business.
Romney can still sway a few women with just his looks. Give him his due. Like Reagan, he makes the most of what he's got.
And answering a poll question over the phone isn't the same as looking at someone you might like, nominee of the party you want to vote for and realizing you intend to vote against him or abstain over his batty religious doctrine.
Mormonism isn't a nothing. But it's not as big a something as you would have us to believe. Even some of you Mormon-bashers would vote for him if he was nominated.
If you're going to list the petty voters who decide based on what they don't like (lesser of two evils), then list more of them, not just the ones that favor your own prejudice.

Believe as you wish - I’d have it no other way.
However, I am telling you that evangelicals - the religious
right - will end up a split group over mormonism. Lose
5-10% who refuse to choose between two evils, and you lose
the election.
Faustian choice, Faustian result.

I do not know others issues enough to predict or fully
understand them. I’ll stick with what I know. You can imagine
what others may or may not think.
Nominating a mormon is one of the few ways republicans
could lose against hillary. No doubt they will manage more.
Even Clinton I was elected without a majority of voters.
Surely, hillary has that in mind and strategy. Since her
negatives are as high as the public feelings about mormons,
it would be a battle.
