Get the better legislation passed...but remember his efforts at the earlier travesty and run him out of office afterwards...and Graham too.
I’d say that’s an accomplishment we can be proud of!
We need a bill that gets all of the enforcement and all of the fences, etc. without ANY form of legitmizing.
They have already made it clear, this bunch, that they have no intent to spend monies earmarked for fenceing and enforcement even if they do pass a law, because they never followed the law that was passed last year.
Route the vipers out.
There really isn’t enough information in the story to be certain.
You are right that we need to keep an eye on these guys so they don’t try to piece meal something through.
Is he still running for something?
Geez like a leaf on the breeze.....way to McPain...NOT!
I wouldn't put it past them to slip amnesty into some budget bill, burried in paragraph 12 on page 10,476 of the bill.
This is BS and a cover for incrementally advancing the original agenda, IMHO. Two days ago I received a letter from McCain dated July 17th. It has the same old BS in it about not being able to deport immigrants, not being able to control our borders with existing laws, etc. He hasn’t changed his mind, he’s just trying another tactic.
Memo to McPain: To quote that Carole King song from back in 1971: “Its too late, bayybe, now it’s too late.....”
Kerry is a much better flip-flopper. Kerry’s had more practice.
I can imagine a question about this flip flop will come up this Sunday in the debate.
And it will surely be in Rush’s stack of stuff today.
McCain's co-sponsors include Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and .....
Those two should get a room.
McPain is a stubborn child. He didn’t change his mind. He’s cutting his amnesty bill into smaller pieces and moving them around to pass the parts individually embedded in obscure bills.
Mcpain, go fly a Kyl!
If McCain, Kyl and Graham were really serious about this they would endorse a GOOD enforcement bill sitting in the Senate!

LOL The guy is a two faced liar when it comes to immigration. I don’t believe anything the jackass says. He sponsors lots of bad legislation such as anti torture bills and campaign finance reform.
McCain should retire. Let some new young blood in the Senate
he weely weely weely wants to be President
Now now, don’t exaggerate...that bill was only 3,000 pages of dense legalize that all our representatives surely took the time to comprehend and cogitate on.
NOT!
If a 45-year old HS grad who schleps at car-washes for a living can parse these developments while the powered, monied and privileged can not I fear for our nation's future. No - credit must be given - the old, smelly fella who collects aluminum cans at our sites gave me the skinny (LOL!).
Seriously though, McCain (aka the Manchurian Incumbent) will, as a few posters pointed out, continue to embed his agenda piecemeal into other bills over time...a trick he picked up from his friend Ted Kennedy. That's how Kennedy disabled the enforcement measures in the 1986 Immigration Reform Act over time.
No path to citizenship, ever, should be his campaign slogan if he wants to keep his campaign going until this november.
Among others, the Gomez case. The Miami Herald and politicians are going nuts pushing what will be a dangerous path.
