I received an e-mail today from the Fox News producer who booked me for the O'Reilly Factor last night. The links have been forwarded to Jim Robinson for review.
Jim asked me to start a thread with the links so that Freepers, and everyone else, could see for themselves what the fuss is about.
The Hillary Clinton stray bullet assassination comment was a very bad joke comment that someone posted two days ago. It was flagged last night after the O'Reilly Factor broadcast and was removed by a moderator. It is available for the time being in Google cache:
To: Virginia Ridgerunner I like my scenario better:
After eight years of the economy faltering, interest rates are 19%, 900,000 people are dead in Iraq since we left, taxes have gone up by 60% and Chile, Bolivia and Columbia are now Communist regimes, a stray bullet at a NARAL rally catches President Clinton and kills her.
As they take away Cindy Sheehan she screams why did she have to remove the troops? We were winning.
The next day the dow goes up 2000 points and closes at 2150.

Don't even bother trying to defend that one. Assassination jokes have no place on Free Republic. Yes, Cindy Sheehan has written of her fantasizies about killing President Bush--and she's not joking, but that's her problem. We're better than that.
The "homosexuals are dogs" comment is taken out of context. The actual quote is "Homosexuals are the modern day dogs in the manger." That was in reference to an article about proprieters in the U.K. not being allowed to deny hotel accomodations to homosexual couples on account of religious belief.
The American Heritage online dictionary gives this description for the phrase: dog in the manger, NOUN: Inflected forms: pl. dogs in the manger. One who prevents others from enjoying what one has no use for oneself. ETYMOLOGY: From a fable in which a dog prevented an ox from eating hay he did not want himself.
That comment was posted two days ago and has also been removed by the moderators. It is available for now in Google cache.
The "I hate blacks" comment was nowhere to be found in the other threads referenced.
The threads are about crime in the black community, gangsta culture and Jesse Jackson. Two of the threads are in the Smoky Backroom.

vicious dog in a manager.
***I’ve had some managers that I would consider to be vicious dogs. I suppose if we ask the ex-employee who sued him for sexual harrassment, she would consider him a vicious dog as a manager.
But we digress...
I think you’re a troll. The viking kitties don’t like trolls.
why noodling reaffirms my beliefs about Oklahoma.
***I think I watched the same show awhile back. It was fascinating to see those guys catching catfish by hand. Note that when I was going through silentknight’s prior posts, it was easy to see that the guy spends a lot of time watching TV so he may think that such personalities as the BORe are authorities. I run into that mentality sometimes, don’t know what to make of it.
Hey....nothing wrong with extending an olive branch. Who knows, maybe he will see the error of his ways. But I’m not holding my breath. LOL.
I believe O'Reilly has been itching to put a "slap down" on FR since the misbegotten Kerry campaign was sunk by the Swifties with our help. He exhibited notable bias at the time and refused to even look at the sworn testimony of Kerry's contemporaries. His behavior then was far from objective and, I think, formed his antipathy for FR.

Got a couple of gaping holes in your logic there my friend .. the first one that comes to mind is .. what checks do you condone to determine if said gun buyer is a citizen in the first place?
Or should the only prerequisite for acquiring a gun be the ability to fog a mirror?
He should, but he doesn't. He's been feeling the pressure and this woman was the first I've heard that could think of a website to name when he asked her for specifics.
I imagine that when his staff went to FR the first thing they did was search his name, and our less than stellar opinion of him set his hair on fire.
Chock it up to a left-wing prank... However, one has to wonder why they would deliberately try to hurt other libs feelings.
That's is amusing. :)
Bill is a political commentator..not a news guy. You can play "fair and balanced" in the news but in politics you really have to pick a side or get hung on the fence by both sides. The way it's looking right now, Bill may be purposely looking for the perfect fence post to hang his own petard. I'm amazed he lasted this long.
Time for a retraction from O’Reilly... Public and on primetime
He’s so good when it comes to protecting children or at least bringing to our attention the judges that cause pervs to get off so easily. He’s not all bad, but he surely can take things to the extreme.
It was a quote from an article posted here, I believe. NOT from anything a FReeper said. I’ve never seen anyone say that since I’ve been here.
I believe buying guns should be like it was (in most of the US) for the first 170 odd years of its existence. You walk in, put your money down and walk out with what you paid for. Anything that involves a government permission to exercise a right is “infringement.” And my logic is just fine. Stop thinking like a slave.
Why is Politico on a list of conservative websites? I thought it was an arm of the WashPost. Am I wrong about that?
“There is no other cure than to kill Matt Drudge,” O’Reilly charged on the IMUS in the MORNING radio show. “I just want to tell everybody that Matt Drudge is smoking crack - right now, in South Miami Beach on Washington Avenue... And the authorities should know it.”
It’s a real quote. Matt has played it many times on the air. O’Reilly was talking to Imus in response to being outed by Drudge Report about how radio stations were being paid to air O’Reilly’s pitiful radio show.

What a hateful statement. Glass house and all that! Would be nice to have a collection of other similar statements from the hypocrite if he ever wants to bring FR being a hate ste again.
Ya know, to be "Fair and Balanced".
Yes, Politico evolved from the Washington Post.
I posted that list because the reporter’s choices were so strange. She even had US News & World Report on her list of rightwing sites.
I’ve heard “dogs in a manger” before. Lots of times actually. And I’m not a high brow literary type. I never knew what it meant though, till now. I kinda thought it meant “party pooper”.
I think the post about a stray bullet was meant as a farce, not a wish. It was meant as a joke to make fun of the fools going around wishing for bush’s assassination. At least that’s how I thought of it.
And there you have it folks.
NordP, a free and accepted FReeper, blatantly says she hates whites.
