Semantics is right. The whole controversy seems to stem from a misunderstanding about U.S. Representative Michael Bilirakis and his qualifications to nominate one of his constituents for the Nobel Prize in Medicine, not on the work of Dr. Hammesfahr himself.

Why don’t you state your position now to clarify it for everyone in the thread?
________

No problem. I stated while it was happening that MS should turn custody over to Terri’s family. He wanted out, the family wanted her. Likely StAnDeliver, with his/her research skills could link to the exact post, but chose (for some reason) to skip over that one, as I guess it did not fit in with his/her preconceived notions about where I stood on the issue.

Does that answer your question adequately?

“(A liberal is someone too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel - Robert Frost)”

It’s funny because it’s true. I stopped laughing when I realized that liberals are also too broad-minded to take the side of their own country in a war.

Thank you for being up front about it. I agree with your stated position on what should have happened with Terri.

I wish more people agreed with us, dmz.

"righteous anger is somehow an order of magnitude lesser than my agnostic anger."

Always. Righteousness is the blessing conferred by being right, and thus, dispassionate about the discourse that follows. Fortunately (even though you may not think so), the Terri Schiavo's are rare, because the vast majority of Americans cherish life on every level of experience.
