I'm not going to call Bill O'Reilly a liar... yet, but... on his TV show today, he read off a laundry list of ridiculous "hate" statements like "I hate blacks," "Hillary should be assassinated" and "homosexuals are dogs" that he said he personally found on Free Republic and claims that they were posted here today. I do not believe that. I doubt that he personally logged on to FR and I doubt he found any such thing posted here today.
Who knows what we may have missed and is buried deep in our archives of millions of posts, but our readers do a pretty good job of alerting us to anything out of bounds that is posted and we pull it. Also, one of our readers found a couple of the quotes he alleges, and if they are the ones O'Reilly is complaining about, he took them way out of context. They were simply quotes in the articles posted not statements posted by FReepers.
As soon as he provides me a list of the alleged posts and their URLs, I'll believe him. If he doesn't... then... well, guess he'll deserve to be known as what he is.

Jim, please keep the heat on O’reilly, if he claimes to have these post make him produce them.
I seen what O’Reilly is a couple of years ago, haven’t listen or watched him in two years.
Fox news has started doing like all the other net works, leaning to the left. There is little programming I find that is “fair and balanced” lately.
The only fair and balanced news is by computers. The news by some person expurgating their own view is not news.
"I pity the fool."
BOR is going to end up like Morton Downey Jr. Just a broken old huckster who makes a living saying outrageous things.
1. Fox had to pay a large settlement when Bill was sued for sexual harassment of a Fox producer.
2. At a speech Bill made a comment to the effect that the entire audience should check their hubcaps when they left because there were a lot of Mexicans around.
3. He called Neil Bortz a "viscous SOB" live on the air.
4. Continually insulting Al Franken on air. This after filing a bogus lawsuit against Franken which had to be withdrawn because it was without merit.
There have been other instances also which I can't recall now off the top of my head. If Bill is going to lie like this about FR in order to artificially boost his image as "fair and balanced", then I can't believe a word he says on his show. Although I generally try to catch "The Factor", no more - I'll just leave the set on History Channel.
IMO, O'Reilly, et al, would incrementally like to shut us down....
..and it's beginning.
Kristinn, I thought you were spot on.....humble, not reactionary!!
Maybe this has to do with the victory over illegal immigration. Seeking to neutralize your enemies through propaganda is a time honored tactic. I imagine the globalists for whom conservatism is their true enemy will use all resources at their disposal.
Thanks for keeping on top of this.
I’ve been reading FR for years, on nearly a daily basis, and I’ve NEVER read statements such as O’Reilly quoted. Indeed, the very simplicity of such statements suggests to me that some goon leftist employee of O’Reilly simply told Bill what he wanted to hear so he could have something to sound indignant about.
I don't think this is over. You laid a good foundation for a counter-attack on all of our characters. Thank you, Kristinn.
Good for you Jim Robinson! Good for you! FR is a force to be reckoned with, and well...I reckon Biil O’ is starting to figure this out the hard way. A little behind the curve he is. Will he support the Fairness Doctrine? Makes one wonder these days...
Your reply should be a post in itself.
Good point, newbie.

One thing I love about this site is that all posts are dated with the time and date of submission to our site. Wonder if BOR’s staff was aware of that when they did the research.
