Since all this flooding is being caused by the melting polar ice caps, might I suggest a 100 megaton nuclear blast in no mans land up there to “evaporate” a portion of the cap?
No one up there anyway and as Hiroshima and Nagaski proved, the land will be habitable relatively quickly.

Back during the Global Cooling 'scare' there were some that called for this. And also spreading black carbon on the ice to melt it.

Actually, it’s the heating of the oceans, which leads to greater evaporation, leading to greater precipitation.
Besides, it’s the antarctic ice caps, not the isostatic arctic ones.
(I know you were being facetious, but I just had to clarify for visiting DUmmies that we *do* understand. :-)
